Sew Long

*Update: I get asked this a lot so I will just put it on here. I have a Brother Innovis 2500D embroidery machine.*

After I had Sadie I had zero energy to even think about sitting down at my sewing/embroidery machine and making anything. I wanted to because there were so many things to make for a little girl but I just couldn't do it. Not to mention my sewing area was a mess. Well since Josh fixed the mess problem for me I really had no excuse. My baby was growing up and she needed her momma to make her things. :)

Sadie didn't have many things to wear on game days so I decided I'd start there. So far I have made her 3 game day outfits and a few coordinating bows.

I'm in the process of making her an October outfit (I hope I finish it since it's already half over) and I have plans to do something for Thanksgiving and of course, Christmas. I have so many things I'd like to do and not so much time. I will say it is a lot more fun sewing for your own child. I get to see the fruits of my labor first hand. I love it. I do love sewing and it feels good to be back into the swing of things. I've had a few requests for me to make things for people. This is something I'd like to get back into but right now I'm focusing on what I can make for Sadie. I'll be posting what I make because I know I will enjoy looking back and seeing what I made her.

A Win and a Rash

I wish I had lots of exciting things to post about on here. Actually sometimes exciting things aren't always good things so for now I'll stick with being boring.

The exciting events that went on in our household this past weekend were a Hog win and a diaper rash. Obviously we were THRILLED with the Hog victory over Auburn. Although my love and devotion for Razorback football has taken a back seat to the cute chubby baby living in my home I am still a HUGE fan. Josh and I don't have cable so we had to watch the game on our computer. I'm just thankful we were able to see the game. Well, I was able to see almost all of the game. Remember that cute chubby baby I was referring to? During the last few minutes of the game I was in the car headed to the drug store to get some things for her diaper rash. Priorities. I'm happy to report the diaper rash is much better.

In other good news since the Hogs won Sadie was able to wear a victory dress to church the next day.

My Little Lady in Red.

Moving on...here are a few pictures over the last couple of days that make me smile.

My mom watched Sadie Monday morning while I worked and she played so hard she fell asleep in the floor. She never falls asleep in the floor. She prefers her bed. I guess she was too tired to care. I love she has one sock on and one sock off. Not to mention she is wearing what she slept in and she looks a mess. I love her.

This picture is from today. Sadie was so sleepy she fell asleep after her afternoon bottle. She is usually ready to leap off my lap and play after she finishes her bottles so I loved getting to hold my sleeping baby. It reminded me of her newborn days.

After she woke up she was ready to go so I put her in her jumperoo. As you can tell she had a great time.

Totally off the subject but I'm glad so many of you are signing up for One Kings Lane. I assume you're probably all getting Erin Condren products. I'm sure you'll love them. If you missed it see the post below to know what I'm talking about.

Whatcha Got Cooking??

I have really been struggling in the cooking department. It really isn't the cooking that has me all out of sorts but knowing what to cook. I'd like to cook things that are healthy, yummy, and inexpensive but honestly sometimes I'm too tired for that. Recently though I've been hearing a lot about Skinnytaste. Have you all made recipes from this site? I think I'm going to try a few. Any recommendations? Also do you have other websites that offer yummy recipes? I've pinned a few but I need lots more.

A friend and I were talking about how stressful meal planning can be. I have great intentions of getting it all planned, getting all the grocercies bought and being ready to go before the week starts. At this point life gets in the way and I just don't get it done. I'd love to get back to buying groceries only 2 times a month or even once a month would be a dream. If I could ever get it organized....

Weekend Fun

I've been really bad about having my camera with me a lot of the time so it seems like I'm always taking pictures with my phone. This post is a mix of both. Sorry. :)

Friday morning Sadie and I along with my mom headed out of town for the day to visit some family.

On the way there we had a flat tire. Boo. Luckily though we were in familiar territory and a good family friend saved the day. Sadie enjoyed watching all the cars go by while we waited on our tire to get fixed.

Soon enough we made it to our destination. Sadie was exited to see Granny Ima,

Grace and Joyce

and Granny Ruby.

Taylor was also there but I didn't take her picture. So sad.

Saturday was a big day. The Hogs played the Aggies at Jerry World. Sadie got all dressed up to cheer on her favorite team.

She wasn't too impressed at first but luckily the Hogs pulled it out. We're going to have to step it up if we're going to keep winning games.

Sadie celebrated the victory all day long. She just couldn't get enough.

On another note my little baby is growing up too fast. She decided she was big enough to hold her own bottles this weekend. I let her a few times but I assure you I will be holding her bottles for a while. She's still my baby and I'd like to keep her that way for a long time. Maybe forever.

Sunday morning was church day and I was thrilled Sadie could finally wear her victory dress. I had to hem it a lot because it is huge but she still looked so cute it in.

I hope she gets to wear it EVERY Sunday.

I did take my real camera to snap several pictures as well.

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. We have a busy week ahead. I'm hoping to shorten my "to-do" list. I should probably get started but instead I think I will go to bed.

Oh and by the way...if you ask me something in the comments but don't leave an e-mail address or one isn't linked to your profile chances are I won't be able to respond to you. If you leave a way for me to contact you I'd be happy to respond!
