Phone Picture Post

I'm way behind on posts but until I sit down to get caught up here are some recent photos taken with my phone (or my mom's).

First Friend

Sadie's first friend, Luke, came over to visit a couple of times last week. His mommy and I couldn't help but take a million pictures of them. I couldn't decided which ones to post so I posted a bunch...of the same picture. Big Brother Ben jumped in a few pictures too to help out. Please ignore the tags still on the chair. I'm not sure why I haven't cut those off yet. :)

Someone else who came to visit these two babies was my friend Laura.

Luke and Sadie are excited about their buddy Brock who will be here in August.

I loved getting to spend time with two of my best friends, Jenny and Laura. I have texted them both a LOT over the last 6 weeks (actually months and years). They are great help to this mommy. :)

Point and Shoot

Since Josh and I got a better camera before Sadie was born I try to take it with us most places. It is so big though so I don't carry it with me everywhere. Since I don't want to miss anything I keep my old point and shoot camera in my diaper bag at all times. The only problem is that I forget about it. The other day I was looking through the pictures on it and found some that I wanted to remember.

This was taken at the pediatrician's office after Sadie had to give blood for the first time. It was terrible. It took a while for them to get what they needed. She cried, I cried, her Daddy consoled us both.

This was Sadie's first trip to a Mexican restaurant. Our pastor wanted to feed her and I gladly let him.

First date....I mean dinner with her friend, Luke.

I've already taken a million pictures of Sadie and Luke. I can't wait to get tons more. I just know they'll be good friends.

Those are all the pictures I have for now. Maybe one day soon I'll do a blog post that doesn't have a single picture of Sadie. Then again, maybe not. :)

Nap Time

Today was Sadie's first nap in her crib. She looked around, talked about 45 minutes, and then fell asleep until her next feeding. I know it won't be this easy every time but I'm thankful.

On a totally different note here she is being too cool for school.

Family Ties

Last weekend we took Sadie to meet some of her Daddy's family. She had a great time and did really well the entire time. She is so blessed to have so much family that loves her.

Josh's Granny is so good with her. She has 3 girls of her own and several grandchildren and great grandchildren so it is no wonder.

This is Josh's aunt Darlene. I didn't do a very good job of taking pictures of everyone. I still don't know how to work my camera very well when there isn't much natural lighting. I don't know how to work it well period. I'm going to learn. Anyone want to teach me? Anyway, so sorry for the family members that will be left out.

Amy (Till and Whitman's mom) held her so I could eat lunch. What a blessing that was. :)

Josh with Whitman. Y'all he is so cute and chunky. I love his thighs. And he talks ALL the time (and by talk I mean jabbers, obviously) and it is adorable.

This is Sara, who is about to marry into the family and I am so excited about that. Sadie was VERY content in Sara's arms.

I hate that these pictures are so random and don't include everyone. We had a great time on our visit and can't wait to take her back again.

One Month

Sadie, you are a month old now. How is that possible?

You now weigh 9 pounds and 10 ounces. You are in the 59% range for weight. You are 21 1/2 inches long which is in the 63% range. Your head is in the 73% range but that is no surprise because you are so smart. :)

You are such a sweet baby. You fuss at times but only when you are hungry, "windy", and cold. Your fussy time is anywhere between 5 and 8 at night and right before your 10 o'clock feeding because you get so hungry, Lately you are windy a lot but we are working on that.

You wear size NB clothes and a few 0-3 month things. You are in a NB size diaper but you'll be moving to a size 1 soon.

You sleep pretty well at night when you aren't grunting and passing gas. :) You go to sleep around 11 and lately you've been getting up between 4 and 5:30.

You aren't very interested in eat/play/sleep yet. You do it sometimes but other times you prefer the eat/sleep cycle. You are very good at putting yourself to sleep. You've made it easy so far on momma because you don't cry when I put you down. You just look around and stare at things until you fall asleep. Please don't ever change this.

You've recently become a fan of your playmat and you still love (and sleep in) your bouncy seat. You like when we play patty cake (your Jules started you on that) and when your daddy kisses you.

You love getting a bath. You like to drape your legs over the side so they can be in the warm water. You do NOT like getting out of your bath though because it makes you cold.

You love to ride in the car. You are hardly ever fussy while in there and normally fall asleep.

You have been such a good girl every where we have taken you. You let people pass you around and hold you and you never cry. For the most part you are a very easy going baby.

You've been to church twice but you haven't gone to the nursery yet.

EVERYONE tells us how pretty you are and it makes us so proud.

We love your crazy expressions and your wild hair. You have some baby acne and dry skin but you're still the prettiest thing your daddy and I have ever seen.

Sadie, your daddy and I love you SOOOO much. You have completely changed our lives. Although it isn't always easy we wouldn't change a thing. By far the hardest and best month of our lives. We can't wait to watch you continue to grow and change. Maybe you should slow it down a bit though. Time is going by way too fast.
