A lot of times I don't post because either there is nothing new going on or I don't have the mental capacity to think of something creative. Usually a combination of the two is to blame.
So trust me when I say, you're not missing out on much.
Josh is back home so that is a GREAT thing!! I don't mind being alone for a couple days but beyond that I don't like it one bit. Life is more fun when he's around. more when he's around!
My mom had a birthday on the 18th. I love birthdays in my family because that usually means good food. She wanted to go to Whole Hog and I couldn't have been more thrilled. It is one of my favorites!
Josh and I celebrated 8 months of marriage on the 19th. I can hardly believe it! I love being married and I especially love being married to my hot husband!
I am so looking forward for the LONG weekend. We have very few plans and I couldn't be happier. I'm a girl that would MUCH rather be at home than out doing stuff when life is hectic.
I know I don't post much about the weight loss anymore...I think I mentioned this before, but weighing all the time was making me obsessed! Just so you know I feel good and things are SLOWLY working in my favor.
We are drawing near to the end of our Financial Peace University. I can't believe it. I have loved being a part of it and can't wait to be "living like no one else". Right now that has to wait until the crazy dental work is done.
Speaking of dental work, I GET MY BRACES OFF ON JUNE 2ND!!!!!!!!!! Woohoo!!!!!
I am contemplating joining BSF or CBS in the fall (Bible Study Fellowship and Community Bible Study for those who don't know). I've heard great things about both and I feel like I need so good Bible study.
I am really excited that watermelons are starting to taste really yummy. I could eat my weight in cold watermelon. I had a lot this morning and I think I'm ready for round two. Unfortunately it has more calories that I wish so I have to limit it. Perish the thought!
I had my monthly get-together with my friends Jenny, Sarah, and Suzanne last week. We went to this restaurant I had never heard of, Milford-Track. It was so good!!! They are known for offering healthier choices but oh so delicious. I can't wait to go back!
Well, I don't know what else to tell you. I'll try to take pics this weekend so I can do a "picture post".
Until then, I hope you have a fabulous weekend!!!!

Back In Action
Guess who???? Yes, that's right, it's me!!! Can you believe it?!? Kelly, I know you're were about to trade me in if I didn't start blogging again.
Me and Holly
The Sign-In Table
Drinks...we had a coffee bar but I didn't get a picture of it. :(
Food Table
More Food
Aren't these cute?
I had such a fun time at the shower. Holly and Justin got a TON of gifts! It made me miss having my own showers this time last year. Oh what fun to get a lot of cool gifts!
Next exciting thing that happened is I colored my hair ALL BY MYSELF!! Getting my hair colored by a professional is a thing of this past. Our budget simply does not allow it. So I decided I'd try it myself. I am sooo pleased with how it turned out. I didn't take a picture though. Not sure why!
I got this for $4 and something. I had a coupon! Isn't that fabulous?!?!
Another exciting thing is that I have been SO faithful to workout these past few weeks. I haven't blogged about it much b/c I don't want to set myself up or anything but God has been SO GOOD to me. He has given me strength to work out and self-control to stop eating when I'm full. A true miracle, I'm serious! I've lost a few pounds (it's taking the scales a little longer to adjust but my clothes fit better) and I just feel better and happier. I have a LONG way to go but I'm very hopeful!
The last fun thing to report is last night we have a youth outing and it was a lot of fun. Not all of our youth went but we had a great time!
Here's our group!
We went to eat and then to Gator Park to play.
My big kid! Josh had a lot of fun! We love our youth group and are so thankful for them.
Today has already started off as a GREAT day. We went to Panera! WOOHOOO! We had a gift card. Then we went to Wal-mart and now I'm blogging and doing laundry. Josh is reading because he has to go to Ft. Worth tomorrow for an I-term at SWBTS and has to read 2 books before he goes. I'm going to miss him a lot. If you think about it pray for his safety and diligence while he's there!
OK, that's enough for now. It's time to put the clothes in the dryer. Have a fabulous weekend!

So Behind!
I'm so behind on blogging! I wish I had the energy for a picture post right now but I don't. I think part of the problem is that I look at a computer ALL day long, especially today, so when I come home I want nothing to do with them.
Perhaps this weekend I will fill you in on the wedding shower I helped hostess last weekend and a a few other random things.
For now though I think I'm going to go take a nap. Just a short one. And then wake up in time for a dinner of grilled turkey smoked sausage and a sweet potato. I think I'll have this for dessert. YUM-O!!! And I'll for sure be awake in enough time to catch The Biggest Loser. Speaking of that...pray for me, I'm starting Jillian's 30 Day Shred tomorrow. Yikes!! I'm counting on it working!
By the way...I think I get my braces off SOON!! PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'll be back soon!

Ladies Who Lunch
Today I met 3 of my favorite friends for lunch at Jason's Deli. We had a great time! When I moved to Little Rock from Fayetteville I was really sad to leave my friends up there (I still am sad) but it has helped so much just knowing that I have wonderful friends here. God is good!!! Thanks, ladies, for a fun time of food and catching up. Can't wait until next month! We missed you Katie, and Laura!!!

What a Weekend!
What a FABULOUS weekend!!! It started off with Josh and I heading out of town to see our friends Justin and Holly. They are getting married in June and Josh is performing the ceremony. We hadn't seen them in a while so it was great to get to hang out. J & H cooked dinner for J & H. :) It was yummy. Then of course there was a little Guitar Hero.
Josh was the first one asking to break out the guitar. He loves it!
Holly loves to rock!
Here are the girls, Holly, Shannon, Me.
Josh and I crashed at Justin's house, thanks again Justin, and the next morning we went to breakfast with H and J. We went to Stoby's and it as yummy!! We had fun visiting our friends and CAN'T WAIT until their wedding!
I still love you Dawson!
Here's the woman of the hour. She was so good while we were there. Only one minor outburst. She has the cutest smile! Love it!
I took this picture from Kelly because I didn't have my camera out at this particular moment
After that we headed down the street to the Ormon's. I couldn't go to NWA and see little Harper without seeing my other two favorite girls.
Here's Josh and Sarah Kate. Josh LOVES him some SK! Who wouldn't!?! Doesn't she look cute in her bonnet?! Check out the cupcake! Laurie put her in that outfit just for me. Thanks, Laurie!
Here's Emily. She became our entertainment for the afternoon. Emily loves to dance and she put on a show for us. Oh my word!! Laurie and I were laughing so hard at her we were crying.
She has wonderful Egyptian moves. Her eyes and facial expressions are priceless when she's busting a move.
Here's "Han-tana and her boy". At least that's what Emily told me! Ha! It was hilarious!! Josh stepped in and let "Han-tana" (short for Hannah Montana) show some more sophisticated moves.
Steve, Laurie, Emily, and Sarah Kate, thanks for all the laughs! We has a BLAST!
That ended our trip in NWA. Next we headed down to the River Valley to have a cookout with my family. Can you believe that I didn't take pictures? I know...shameful. We had a great time though! My uncle smoked a bunch of meat and we sat around and ate and chatted. It was perfect. Josh and I decided we wouldn't drive back to Little Rock on Saturday night but instead stay at my sisters so the Easter Bunny could find us. :) Yes, we still get Easter baskets. Here they are:

The Latest
Well, it's my weekly post. I'd like to do more and it is my goal to do more but a lot of times it doesn't work out. And to add more unfortunate news, this post isn't going to have any pictures. Sorry, Laurie. I know how you like to look at pictures. :) Anyway, let's get started.
JOSH IS HOME!!!!!!!!! YEA!!!!!!!!!!!! I love having him home and I don't want him to go anywhere for a long time. At least until May when he has to go back to Ft. Worth for another class. My days are more fun when I get to share them with Josh. Even though we don't do a lot of exciting things as long as I'm with him I don't seem to care.
Sunday was a great day!! Part of it was because it was my first day having Josh back. I smiled on the inside all day long. Secondly because him mom and sister came to church with us and we went to lunch afterwards. I had a picture but I'm too lazy to upload it.
And lastly because we had an ordination service at our church. It was a very special one because it was for some of the Hispanic men in our church who are part of our Hispanic congregation. I loved watching it and hearing their choir sing and everything. It made me think back to Josh's ordination service. Obviously there was a big difference because no one spoke Spanish at his but the concept is all the same. You can go here if you want to get more details. I had a great time and was so thankful to be able to share it with my parents and friends.
Last night Josh came home early so we just hung out watched TV and went to sleep at 8:30. Ha! Are we old or what?!?! Honestly I'd like to go to bed that early tonight but The Biggest Loser does end until 9:00. I guess I'll have to wait until then to hit the sack. I need to get to sleep...Josh and I are going to the gym in the morning. Yea! I have missed it lately. I have a plan for a new exercise routine but it won't start until next week. I'll share more then.
Happy Tuesday!!
