One of my favorite hosts gift was a necklace with a charm on it. The Charm was my initial. I you can get them on Etsy.

Niki designs cute stationary. I did some flat cards w/envelopes for Alex and my brother with their name/title & church name (since they're pastors). They really liked them. You could do flat cards w/their name in a pretty script at the top - do each person in a different color font? That's all I can think of right now - if I think of anything else, I'll come back. :)

Back in November I hosted a baby shower for a friend who adopted a baby girl. I bought wood picture frames from Michaels ($1) and painted them with black chalkboard paint that I already had (it's not very expensive). Then I made a bows with ribbon and hot glued one to the top of each frame. Each guest took one home. It's cute and very affordable. You can see a picture of them in this blog post -

I like that you can change out the picture and write whatever you want at the bottom. :)

For one I'm my showers, I did personalized notecards (like someone mentioned earlier.) I'm not sure if you've ever used Vista Prints online, but they have tons of options for customized designs and they are very affordable. You can usually get 10 cards for around $7-8 and sometimes there are big sales and promos for free additional prints. They have a lot of designs, so you can choose a print that fits each hostess perfectly.

Whatever you do, I think it's smart to keep it affordable. Your friends are giving you a shower to help you get ready for your baby girl, not because they want big presents. :) Good luck!!

My children are all in their 20's, so I am at the age where I am helping give showers to my friends children. My favorite gift was a simple note stating that a donation to a charity had been given in my name. Natalie was right. Please are giving you the shower to help you, not receive a gift themselves. I personally made a donation to a childrens home in honor of each person who gave a shower for my son and his wife.

You should sew something for the hostess gift. I loved the jewelry wallets you posted about awhile ago.

I got wallflowers from Bath and Body when they were $5 (which I think they are right now) and gave that. Everyone loved them!

My mother-in-law always gives a bottle of soap from bath & body works. I'm pretty sure the big sale is right now, so you could stock up. And you could wrap it in a cute dish towel too!

I've given a variety of things - bottle of captain rodneys with pretty napkins, gourmet chips & dip, cool picture holder, bottle of wine in a reusable wine bag.

Maybe something monogrammed - an apron or reusable tote.
