Memorial Day Weekend

We had a great Memorial Day Weekend at our house. Lots of family time and I'm pretty sure there is nothing better. I took lots of pictures (on my phone, of course) so here it goes...

Started things off with a little something sweet on Saturday. Yum!

Sunday we got ready and went to church. Our church has a picnic every year and Sadie had a blast.

She preferred playing on the playground instead of eating her lunch.

Then her daddy took her to see the horses. They were a big hit.

She wasn't the least bit afraid of them. I was a little surprised.

After naps we went to Jules and Big Dog's house and of course she had to blow bubbles.

Monday morning we celebrated my birthday with a family trip to the zoo. Sadie kept saying she was "so happy at the zoo." That made my momma heart happy.

We wore this baby out and headed home for naps. After naps it was time for snow comes. The first one of the season is always the best!

Then we went to Jules and Big Dog's house for my birthday dinner.

Burgers, Paula Deen's fried okra salad, and cheese dip.

And for dessert, strawberry shortcake.

I am so thankful for my family and the quality time we spent together. We are given that freedom by the many who have served our country and fought to give us such a blessing. For that I will forever be thankful.

Pregnancy Update

Can you believe this is the first update I've done all pregnancy? Of course you can because the second child always gets shafted. I should know, I'm the second child. :)

I don't even have a bump picture to share with you and I apologize. Or really I don't because you're better off without it. Trust me, it's big! Much bigger than with Sadie.

This pregnancy overall has been a lot like my first. I was sick until about 24 weeks, had lots of sinus issues, craved the same things, and overall had the same symptoms. The biggest difference between the two is this pregnancy just hurts more. I'm
sure the 31 pound toddler I chase around on a daily basis has something to do with this.

I'm 33.5 weeks along. How is that possible?! This pregnancy has gone by so fast. Hard to believe that in a few short weeks I will have 2 baby girls! Pray for me! :)
Sophie has measured big on every u/s so either my due date is off or I've just got a big girl on my hands! Unfortunately she is transverse so I go in for another u/s in a couple weeks to determine her placement. If she hasn't moved then a c-section is likely. I was bummed about this possibility at first but I'm at peace with it now. Whatever it takes to get her here safely is what I want!

Just for fun here is a 4D picture of Sadie and Sophie at 28w. Sadie is on the left and Sophie on the right. Other than the little nose my girls don't look much alike. Only time will tell.

I am so excited for her to get here but I have so much to do so I am happy waiting a bit longer. We just moved into a new place (post coming soon) so there are lots on my to-do list to get ready for her.
